16. Catalytic partial oxidation of methane over nickel and ruthenium based catalysts for GTL applications
Sammanfattning : The Gas to Liquids (GTL) process is an important alternative for monetizing natural gas through the production of long-chain liquid hydrocarbons, e.g. diesel fuel. LÄS MER
17. Particulate Matter Emissions from Partially Premixed Combustion with Diesel, Gasoline and Ethanol
Sammanfattning : To achieve cleaner combustion and higher efficiency in compression ignition (CI) engines, many new combustion strategies have been developed. Among these new concepts, partially premixed combustion (PPC) attracts a lot of attention, because of its possibility to achieve simultaneously low soot and NOx. LÄS MER
18. Experimental and kinetic studies of H2 effect on lean exhaust aftertreatment processes: HC-SCR and DOC
Sammanfattning : With a growing concern to lower greenhouse gas emissions from road transportation, lean burn and diesel engines will keep playing an important role in the future. Development of a highly efficient and durable process to reduce NOx to N2 becomes a challenging issue especially in the presence of ample O2 concentration as in lean burn exhaust. LÄS MER
19. FTIR Studies and Kinetic Modelling of NOX Reduction and NOX Storage
Sammanfattning : FTIR spectroscopy and kinetic modelling have been used to study catalysts for NOX reduction and NOX storage. For Pt/Al2O3 exposed to NO, oxygen and propene IR-bands associated with nitrates, acetate, formate, carbonates and isocyanate were observed. Experiments with NO, oxygen and HNCO showed that isocyanate is an intermediate for reduction of NOX. LÄS MER
20. Hydrogen generation from dimethyl ether by autothermal reforming
Sammanfattning : Heavy-duty trucks are in idle operation during long periods of time, providing the vehicles with electricity via the alternator at standstill. Idling trucks contribute to large amounts of emissions and high fuel consumption as a result of the low efficiency from fuel to electricity. LÄS MER
