Sammanfattning : Experiences of teachers in SFI, Swedish for (adult) Immigrants, indicate that during their schooling earlier in life, SFI students have developed skills, abilities, values, ideas and expectations about teaching and learning that differ somewhat from the prevailing communicative oriented theory of second language teaching which is emphasized in SFI. In the thesis these aspects are referred to as different school cultural frames of reference. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : This study emerges from the question: what is contemporary art, and mainly what criteria constitute contemporary art in a globalized art world in general? Thus, the focus of this dissertation is on the postcolonial context of Australia and the fact that the contemporary art scene in Australia is divided into Australian and Aboriginal art respectively. This is a division originating from the colonization of Australia that began in the 1770’s, resulting in an Australian art descending from a Western art practice, where there is further focus on two categories within this art. Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to describe and analyse the exchange of social support within the social network of Swedish-Somalis within and outside of Sweden. Sammanfattning : Avhandlingen handlar om beslutsprocessen i fråga om återvändande till sitt hemland eller kvarstannande i flyktingskap, hos de överlevande polska kvinnliga koncentrationslägerfångar som räddades till Sverige 1945 med räddningsaktionen De vita bussarna. Räddningsaktionens namn till trots, lämnade kvinnorna koncentrationslägret Ravensbrück ombord på ett tåg. LÄS MER
