21. Orienting Moduli Spaces of Flow Trees for Symplectic Field Theory
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of three scientific papers dealing with invariants of Legendrian and Lagrangian submanifolds. Besides the scientific papers, the thesis contains an introduction to contact and symplectic geometry, and a brief outline of Symplectic field theory with focus on Legendrian contact homology. 22. Occupational exposure during production of wood pellets in Sweden
Sammanfattning : The aims of the studies underlying this thesis were to assess workers’ air exposure to wood dust and various chemicals, and to evaluate the variability in exposure and occupational dermal exposure to resin acids during the production of wood pellets in Sweden. Personal air measurements of wood dust, monoterpenes, resin acids and nitrogen dioxide (as a marker of diesel exhaust), accompanied by area measurements of these substances, VOCs and carbon monoxide, were performed at up to ten plants. 23. Determinant Factors for Memory Performance in Human Aging: A Study of Environmental, Person-Based, and Non-Cognitive Predictors Contributing to Memory Performance in old Adults
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to examine the importance of environmental, non-cognitive, and person-based variables for memory performance in old adults. Study I was conducted in cooperation with the Gerontology Research Centre and the Department of Psychology in Lund. LÄS MER
24. On eigenvalues of the Schrödinger operator with a complex-valued polynomial potential
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we generalize a recent result of A. Eremenko and A. Gabrielov on irreducibility of the spectral discriminant for the Schroedinger equation with quartic potentials. LÄS MER
25. Combinatorial and analytical problems for fractals and their graph approximations
Sammanfattning : The recent field of analysis on fractals has been studied under a probabilistic and analytic point of view. In this present work, we will focus on the analytic part developed by Kigami. The fractals we will be studying are finitely ramified self-similar sets, with emphasis on the post-critically finite ones. LÄS MER
