    Sammanfattning : This PhD thesis deals with some new integral inequalities of Hardy and Friedrichs types in domains with microinhomogeneous structure in a neighborhood of the boundary. The thesis consists of six papers (Paper A -- Paper F) and an introduction, which put these papers into a more general frame and which also serves as an overview of this interesting field of mathematics. The first extension treats a Growth Curve Model with concomitant variables whereas the second is applicable when different growth curves or when linear restrictions on the parameter space, describing the mean structure in the Growth Curve Model, exist.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with computational methods for solving boundary integral equations (BIE) on surfaces defined without explicit parametrization, called Implicit Boundary Integral Methods (IBIM).
