16. Theory Exploration for Programs and Proofs
Sammanfattning : We have built two theory exploration systems, Cohipster and RoughSpec . Theory exploration is a method of automatically conjecturing properties about the functions and structures that appear in a computer program or a formalization of a mathematical theory. LÄS MER
17. Twisting it up the Quantum Way : On Matrix Models, q-deformations and Supersymmetric Gauge Theories
Sammanfattning : The mathematical framework which quantum field theory constitutes has been very successful in describing nature. As an extension of such a framework, the idea of supersymmetry was introduced. This greatly simplified the mathematical description of the theories, making them more tractable. LÄS MER
18. Some new Friedrichs-type inequalities in domains with microinhomogeneous structure
Sammanfattning : This Licentiate thesis is devoted to derive and discuss some new Friedrichs-type inequalities for functions, which belong to the Sobolev space $H^1$ in domains with microinhomogeneous structure and which vanish on a part of the boundary. The classical Friedrics inequality holds for functions from the space $\mathop{H^{\smash 1}}\limits^{\circ}$ with a constant depending only on the measure of the domain. LÄS MER
19. Places of Rest in Worlds of Ruin : Havens in Post-Apocalyptic Fiction
Sammanfattning : In the inhospitable and ruined landscapes of post-apocalyptic fiction there are often found havens, places of rest that provide contrast to the desolation of the wasteland. This study explores the generic functions of such havens. LÄS MER
20. A weighted correlation approach of the density functional theory for an inhomogeneous fluid at an interface
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis presents a newly developed density functional theory (DFT), i.e., the weighted correlation approach (WCA), to study the structural and thermodynamic properties of an inhomogeneous fluid at an interface. LÄS MER
