1. Deposit-feeding in benthic macrofauna : Tracer studies from the Baltic Sea
Sammanfattning : A low content of organic matter, which is largely refractory in nature, is characteristic of most sediments, meaning that aquatic deposit-feeders live on a very poor food source. The food is derived mainly from sedimenting phytodetritus, and in temperate waters like the Baltic Sea, from seasonal phytoplankton blooms. LÄS MER
2. Transient Air to Fuel Ratio Response in a Fuel Injected S.I Engine
Sammanfattning : Future emission standards make it necessary to focus on the conditions under which engine emissions are produced, especially before the catalyst light off. During practical driving conditions, such as those represented by the FTP 75 test cycle, the engine is operated very much under transient conditions regarding load and speed. LÄS MER
3. Genesis and tectonic setting of the hypozonal Fäboliden orogenic gold deposit, northern Sweden
Sammanfattning : The well-known Skellefte Ore District, northern Sweden, hosts a large number of massive sulphide deposits, a few porphyry-type-deposits and a number of gold deposits in different geological settings. Southwest of this district a new ore province, the so called Gold Line, is presently being uncovered. LÄS MER
4. Low-temperature deposition of epitaxial transition metal carbide films and superlattices using C60 as carbon source
Sammanfattning : The transition metal carbides are chemical compounds with a unique set of propertiesused in many thin film applications. In this work, thin films of group 4-5 transitionmetal carbides and superlattices were deposited at low temperatures by simultaneousevaporation of C60 using either metal e-beam evaporation or d.c. magnetron sputtering. 5. Dynamics of Metal Concentration and Mass Transport in an Old Mining Area
Sammanfattning : Several different approaches were used to analyse the metal pollution in the mining area at Bersbo. Using extensive water flow and metal concentration data, the mean annual transport of copper, cadmium and zinc at a weir downstream from one of the tailings deposits was estimated to be 330, 5.9 and 1700 kg/yr, respectively.
