  1. 1. Dentin surface conditioning : the role of collagen in dentin bonding

    Författare :Andreas Cederlund; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Preparation of dental cavities inevitably produces a thin layer of smear, which covers dentin and enamel surfaces. This smear layer, which is between 1 and 10 gm thick, consists of hydroxyapatite, denatured collagen and remnants of cariogenic bacteria. If left untouched, it will weaken the bond between filling material and cavity wall. LÄS MER

  2. 2. On tissue reactions to dentin as a bone substitute material

    Författare :Payam Farzad; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Grafted dentin; tissue reaction; bone blocks; dental implants; experimental study;

    Sammanfattning : Background Reconstruction of the jaws due to resorption of the alveolar crest may require bone augmentation prior to installation of endosseous implants. Active research on new bone graft materials with bone regeneration ability equivalent to autogenous bone but without the limitations of allogenic, xenogenic and synthetic bone are constantly ongoing. 3. 3. Membrane structures in the human pulp-dentin organ : an electron microscopic investigation of permanent teeth using the freeze-fracture technique

    Författare :Anders Köling; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER

  4. 4. Studies on three matrix molecules in bone and dentin

    Författare :Ulrika Petersson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Osteoadherin OSAD ; Nucleobindin Nuc ; Calreticulin CRT ; biomineralization; osteogenesis; dentinogenesis;

    Sammanfattning : The biomineralization of bone and dentin is a complex and dynamic process, involving the formation of an organic framework in which mineral crystals are deposited. The noncollagenous proteins (NCPs) of the organic phase play a central role in the extracellular matrix (ECM) organization and mineralization regulation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Ceramic Core–Shell Particles : Synthesis and Use within Dentistry

    Författare :Camilla Berg; Wei Xia; Håkan Engqvist; Nicola Döbelin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Calcium phosphate; Core-shell particles; Substituting ions; Dentin hypersensitivity; Occlusion; Mineralization; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot materialvetenskap; Engineering Science with specialization in Materials Science;

    Sammanfattning : Dentin hypersensitivity is one of the most prevalent conditions related to oral health, affecting a large share of the adult population. Shortcomings with the available treatment options are related to non-ideal particle sizes and degradation properties. LÄS MER
