Det är en komplex uppgift att utföra munvård för att förebygga nedsatt munhälsa på någon annan. Nedsatt munhälsa kan påverka allmänhälsan på olika sätt, till exempel genom smärta och nedsatt aptit.    Sammanfattning : The aim of the thesis was to focus on the occupational health risks in dentistry with emphasis on musculoskeletal disorders in the neck and upper limbs and neuropathy in the hands, in relation to exposure to physical workload, vibration and mercury. An increased high frequency of long-lasting and wide-spread musculoskeletal symptoms in the neck and shoulder regions (58-75% during the past 12 months) was found in dentists and dental hygienists compared to different referent groups; furthermore, wrist/hand (46-59%) and hip (19-27%) disorders as well in female dentists and dental hygienists.    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to describe the distribution of feeding habits and dietary habits of Swedish children of different ages, to search for determinants of the observed distributions and to analyse some possible implications of those habits regarding health and growth. The present results emanate from a longitudinal study of feeding, growth and development of 312 infants and from a cross-sectional study on the dietary habits of 738 children aged 4,8 and 13 years.
