  2. 2. Phase transitions and vortex structures in multicomponent superconductors

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : KTH Royal Institute of Technology

    Författare :Karl Sellin; KTH.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; multicomponent superconductors; superconductivity; phase transitions; monte carlo; vortices; vortex structure formation; competing interactions;

    Sammanfattning : Theoretical aspects of multicomponent superconductivity and systemswith competing interactions are studied using Monte Carlo techniques.Motivated by recent experimental and theoretical results of complex struc-ture formation of vortices in multicomponent systems, possible vortex struc-ture formations due to vortex interactions that are not purely attractive orrepulsive are considered. 3. 3. Diazotrophy and diversity of benthic cyanobacteria in tropical coastal zones

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Botaniska institutionen

    Författare :Karolina Bauer; Stockholms universitet.; [2007]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Marine cyanobacteria; benthic nitrogen fixation; diversity; diazotrophy; Lyngbya majuscula; Zanzibar; western Indian Ocean; NATURAL SCIENCES Biology Organism biology Plant physiology; NATURVETENSKAP Biologi Organismbiologi Växtfysiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Discoveries in recent years have disclosed the importance of marine cyano-bacteria in the context of primary production and global nitrogen cycling. It is hypothesized here that microbial mats in tropical coastal habitats harbour a rich diversity of previously uncharacterized cyanobacteria and that benthic marine nitrogen fixation in coastal zones is substantial.
