    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Demand response; Electricity use flexibility; Time-varying rate; Dynamic pricing; Price-based program; Time-of-use; Demand charge; Real-time pricing; Real-time feedback; Prosumer; Non-price signal; Non-price incentive; Engineering Science with specialization in industrial engineering and management; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot industriell teknik;

    Sammanfattning : With increased weather-dependent electricity production and electrification at the heart of the ongoing transition away from fossil fuels, peaks in electricity demand are set to increase and become increasingly difficult to meet, which threatens the functioning of the electric power systems that our society depends on. Time-varying electricity rates, which aim to incentivize electricity users to shift their electricity use in time, have been proposed as a key instrument in alleviating grid imbalances and bottlenecks. 2. 2. Demand Side Activities for Electric Load Reduction

    Författare :Juozas Abaravicius; Energihushållning; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Load demand; Energiforskning; Energy research; demand response; peak load reduction; load management; demand side;

    Sammanfattning : The research described in this thesis, focuses on some activities on the demand side that could reduce peak load in electricity system by using consumer flexibility i.e. by increasing the demand side response to signals coming from the energy market. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Power to the people : electricity demand and household behavior

    Författare :Mattias Vesterberg; Runar Brännlund; Chandra Kiran Krishnamurthy; Maximilian Auffhammer; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; electricity demand; real-time pricing; demand flexibility; elasticity; appliance-level data; end-use; media; contract choice; de-regulated market; household behavior; intermittent electricity production; efficiency; imperfect information;

    Sammanfattning : Paper [I] Using a unique and highly detailed data set on energy consumption at the appliance-level for 200 Swedish households, seemingly unrelated regression (SUR)-based end-use specific load curves are estimated. The estimated load curves are then used to explore possible restrictions on load shifting (e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Demand Responsive Planning : A dynamic and responsive planning framework based on workload control theory for cyber-physical production systems

    Författare :Hakan Akillioglu; Mauro Onori; Marcello Colledani; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Demand responsive planning; continuous workload control; cyber-physical production systems; evolvable production systems; dynamic capacity adjustment; Industriell ekonomi och organisation; Industrial Engineering and Management; SRA - Production; SRA - Produktion; Planering och beslutsanalys; Planning and Decision Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Recent developments in the area of Cyber-Physical Production Systems prove that high technology readiness level is already achieved and industrialization of such technologies is not far from today. Although these technologies seem to be convenient in providing solutions to environmental uncertainties, their application provides adaptability only at shop floor level. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Estimering av efterfrågan på långväga persontransporter : En ekonomisk-teoretisk belysning av gängse modeller samt en ny ansats till uppskattning av efterfrågesamband

    Författare :Thomas Sonesson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Intercity travel demand; gravity model; legit model; entropy maximising; BoxCox; demand elasticities;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with the estimation of intercity travel demand. The purpose is to discuss the derivations and characteristics of existing models, to derive a demand model based on microeconomic theory and to estimate the parameters of the model in order to gain information on important characteristics of the transport system.
