1. Single-Photon Events in the DELPHI Experiment
Sammanfattning : A series of studies pertaining to the STIC calorimeter at the DELPHI experiment at LEP is presented, and a new generation of fast wire scanners for emittance measurements at PS is described. The STIC studies are centered around a single-photon analysis, in which the reaction e+ e- -> gamma + invisible particles was studied at center-of-mass energies of 161, 172 and 183 GeV. LÄS MER
2. Charged kaon and proton production in B-hadron decays
Sammanfattning : The production of charged kaons and protons in B-hadron decays has been measured in e+e- annihilations at centre-of-mass energies corresponding to the Z0 mass. In total 1.6 million hadronic Z0 decays were analysed, corresponding to about 690000 B-hadron decays. LÄS MER
3. Obstetric Emergency Triage - A new mindset in obstetric emergency care in Sweden
Sammanfattning : Introduction Obstetric emergency triage, facilitating prioritization according to urgency of obstetric patients seeking emergency care, is a relatively new form of triage. Adaptations to physiological changes during pregnancy and pregnancy specific conditions enable assessment of the patient, fetus, and labor status, essential to achieve equality in emergency care for the obstetric patient. 4. Studies of Heavy Baryons in DELPHI and Radiation Monitoring in DØ
Sammanfattning : Between the years 1992 and 1995 about 3.5 million hadronic Z decays were collected by the DELPHI detector at CERN. This data has been used to measure the production and lifetime of the beauty strange baryon Ξb,in the inclusive decay channel Ξb →Ξ-ℓ- X. LÄS MER
5. Caring in research and practice - some nursing aspects
Sammanfattning : Caring in research and practice - some nursing aspects Siv Bäck-Pettersson Institute of Medicine, Department of Public Health and Community Medicine/Primary Health Care, The Sahlgrenska Academy at Göteborg University, Göteborg, Sweden. Abstract This thesis has a caring science perspective (caring in nursing). LÄS MER
