  1. 1. Envisioning a Future Decision Support System for Requirements Engineering : A Holistic and Human-centred Perspective

    Författare :Beatrice Alenljung; Anne Persson; Sture Hägglund; Pär Carlshamre; Per Ågerfalk; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Requirements engineering; decision-making; decision support systems; RE decision-making; RE decision support; Informatics; Informatik; Informatics and systems science; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Complex decision-making is a prominent aspect of requirements engineering (RE) and the need for improved decision support for RE decision-makers has been identified by a number of authors in the research literature. The fundamental viewpoint that permeates this thesis is that RE decision-making can be substantially improved by RE decision support systems (REDSS) based on the actual needs of RE decision-makers as well as the actual generic human decision-making activities that take place in the RE decision processes. 2. 2. Decision support for multi-criteria evaluation of manufacturing reshoring decisions

    Författare :Movin Sequeira; David Eriksson; Leif-Magnus Jensen; Jan Stentoft; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reshoring decision; decision support; manufacturing; criteria; reasoning; multi-criteria decision-making; Återflyttningsbeslut; beslutsstöd; produktion; kriterier; resonemang; beslutsfattande;

    Sammanfattning : Reshoring decisions in the manufacturing sector have received increasing attention due to their potential to improve overall quality, flexibility, or reduce risk. Contemporary events such as the pandemic and the supply crisis have made manufacturing reshoring decisions a timely and important topic to study. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Affordances and Constraints of Intelligent Decision Support for Military Command and Control : Three Case Studies of Support Systems

    Författare :Ola Leifler; Henrik Eriksson; Patrick Lambrix; Bartel Van de Walle; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Decision Support; planning; machine learning; information management; Command and Control; Computer science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Researchers in military command and control (C2) have for several decades sought to help commanders by introducing automated, intelligent decision support systems. These systems are still not widely used, however, and some researchers argue that this may be due to those problems that are inherent in the relationship between the affordances of technology and the requirements by the specific contexts of work in military C2. 4. 4. Decision Support for Energy Transition : Application of Multi-criteria Decision Making on Danish Residential Heating

    Författare :Qianyun Wen; Yang Liu; Olof Hjelm; Xiufeng Liu; Pascale Zarate; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : With the increasing awareness of the impact of climate change, there has been more intention to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality targets. However, as one essential element for human well-being, residential heating remains a major contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Decision Making in Preflight Operations : A study of memory supports and feedback

    Författare :Kristina Enflo; Örjan Wikforss; Lena K. Mårtensson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Human Factors; Man-Machine Systems; Decision Making; Decision Support; Feedback; Commercial Aviation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to explore how support systems enable human control within normal flight operations. The thesis focuses on the use of memory supports during flight, such as a handheld computing device, memory strategies and checklists. The support systems are studied from the theoretical perspective of Human Factors. LÄS MER
