    Sammanfattning : Even if the treatment of cancer has developed over the last decades 50% of the patients still die of their cancer. The doctor's way of dealing with his and his patient's anxiety must surely be of significance for the treatment the patient receives.In the first part of the thesis earlier studies of physicians' stress and ways of coping are reported.     Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis is to generate  understanding and knowledge a bout the experiences of  patients living with haemodialysis, and their close relati ves, near the end of life.     Sammanfattning : The aim was to describe the neonatal end-of-life practice and illuminate Swedish women's lived experiences of the threat and the reality of their neonate's dying and death as well as the care received.
