Sammanfattning : Syftet med föreliggande avhandlingsarbete är att få större kunskap om några av förutsättningarna för förskolans pedagogiska verksamhet och få veta mer om vad som faktiskt sker ute i förskolans barngrupper. 5. Tvåspråkighet, tänkande och identitet : studier av finska barn i Sverige och Finland
Sammanfattning : The aims of the thesis were to study (1) day care and school education of Finnish migrant children in Sweden, with respect to verbal, cognitive and identity development, (2) language as a tool of thought and the role of bilingualism in children's cognitive development, primarily with respect to Finnish children in Sweden, and (3) ethnic and individual identity of Finnish children and adolescents in Sweden and Finland. These issues are studied by means of literature reviews (Summary report and Study 1 ) and empirical studies (Study 2 and Study 3). LÄS MER
