  1. 21. Flood Prediction in data-scarce basins : Maximising the value of limited hydro-meteorological data

    Författare :José Eduardo Reynolds Puga; Sven Halldin; Chong-Yu Xu; Jan Seibert; Thomas J. Grabs; Vazken Andréassian; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Floods; data scarcity; value of information; rainfall-runoff modelling; regionalisation; rainfall-forecasts; event-based calibration; climatological day; discharge day; temporal resolution; modelling time-step.; Databrist; flödestoppsbaserad kalibrering; högflöde; informationsvärde; klimatologiskt dygn; nederbörds-avrinningsmodell; modelltidssteg; regionalisering; regnprognos; tids-upplösning; vattenföringsdygn; översvämning.; Inundaciones; falta de datos; valor de información; modelos lluvia escorrentía; regionalización; pronósticos de lluvia; definición del día; resolución temporal; paso de tiempo.;

    Sammanfattning : Floods pose a threat to society that can cause large socio-economic damages and loss of life in many parts of the world. Flood-forecasting models are required to provide simulations at temporal resolutions higher than a day in basins with concentration times smaller than 24 h. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Quality Assurance of Time Critical Data Using Adaptive Data Delivery Mechanisms in Smart Grids

    Författare :Yiming Wu; Lars Nordström; Chen-Ching Liu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; time critical data quality; adaptive mechanisms; quality assurance; Smart Grid; information resiliency; data accuracy; end-to-end latency; cyber-security; substation automation; power system communication; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik; Industrial Information and Control Systems; Industriella informations- och styrsystem;

    Sammanfattning : Smart grids are proposed to integrate renewable energy and to improve the efficiency of power system operation. The challenges of integrating renewable energy are the inherent fluctuations of generation which are difficult to predict which may lead to challenges to the safe operation of power systems. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Data-Centric AI for Software Performance Engineering - Predicting Workload Dependent and Independent Performance of Software Systems Using Machine Learning Based Approaches

    Författare :Hazem Samoaa; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the topic of grounding in human-robot interaction, that is, the process by which the human and robot can ensure mutual understanding. To explore this topic, the scenario of a robot holding a presentation to a human audience is used, where the robot has to process multimodal feedback from the human in order to adapt the presentation to the human's level of understanding.
