   Sammanfattning : Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in females. The treatment, based on clinical FIGO stage, carries a significant risk of side effects. FDG-PET enables non-invasive studies of glucose metabolism. Cancer cells show an increased glucose uptake and metabolism that can be visualised and further analysed. LÄS MER

One aim of this thesis was to elucidate the association between sedentariness and breast cancer risk in women as a whole, and then separately for those younger than 55 years old and those 55 years or older.    Sammanfattning : Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most frequent lymphoma subtype. In Sweden 450 new cases are diagnosed annually. With modern anthracycline-containing chemotherapy DLBCL is potentially curable, with an estimated overall cure rate of approximately 50% for patients with advanced stage disease. LÄS MER
