  1. 21. Interaction of Triglyceride-rich Lipoproteins with Platelets and Vitamin K-dependent Coagulation Factors

    Författare :Ning Xu; Avdelningen för klinisk kemi och farmakologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Triglycerides.; Prothrombin; Protein S; Protein C; Platelets; Phospholipids; Metabolism; Lipoproteins; Lipids; Endocytosis; Electron microscopy; Cytochemistry; Coronary heart disease; Blood coagulation factors; Arachidonic acid; Atherosclerosis; Clinical chemistry; Klinisk kemi; Haematology; extracellular fluids; Hematologi; extracellulära vätskor;

    Sammanfattning : 1. During incubation of platelets with 3H-arachidonic acid (20:4, n-6) and 14C-cholesterol doubly labelled and colloidal gold labelled chylomicrons (CMs) and chylomicron remnants (CMRs) CMs were taken up more efficiently than CMRs. Addition of unlabelled CMs, VLDLs, LDLs and HDLs decreased the uptake of labelled CMs. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Astrocyte metabolism following focal cerebral ischemia

    Författare :Anna E Thoren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Astrocyte; metabolism; focal cerebral ischemia; reperfusion; infarct; [1-14C]acetate; [U-14C]glucose; glutamine; glutamate; ATP; ADP; lactate; MCT4; immunogold cytochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability and death. Most often, stroke results from blockage of an artery in the brain leading to tissue infarction within the perfusion territory of the affected vessel. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Sarcoplasmic body myopathy

    Författare :Birgitta Hedberg; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In 1980 a new hereditary myopathy with adult onset was described in a swedish family. The most characteristic feature of this myopathy was the sarcoplasmic inclusion bodies (SB), seen in the muscle biopsies. Distal muscle weakness seemed to be the most prominent early symptom. LÄS MER
