    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to clarify different ideas about cultural relations expressed in the Swedish curriculum, and the potential consequences they may have for children and young people to participate as peers in social and public life. Located at the intersection of a (neo)pragmatic curriculum theory tradition and cultural studies/critical pedagogy, the ambition with the study is two-folded: (1) to clarify the theoretical conditions for cultural relations from an ethnocentric, global, and multicultural perspective and (2) to elucidate and describe the curriculum historical preconditions for cultural relations.     Sammanfattning : This study focuses on mediated representations of Europe during Euromaidan and the subsequent Ukraine–Russia crisis, analysing empirical material from Ukraine, Poland and Russia. The material includes articles from nine newspapers, diverse in terms of political and journalistic orientation, as well as interviews with journalists, foreign policymakers and experts, drawing also on relevant policy documents as well as online and historical sources.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation reframes Latin American literary regionalism as the configuration of an alternative political-cultural reaction in the 1930s-1940s. It argues that such an approach questions the precepts of Eurocentric modernity, going beyond the nuanced conceptualization of the environment as a nature-culture dichotomy. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the practice of haemodialysis and kidney transplantation, the two medical therapies available for persons with kidney failure, from a phenomenological perspective. A basic assumption made in the thesis is that contemporary biomedicine is deeply embedded in the cultural, historical, economic, and political circumstances provided by the particular local, national, and transnational contexts in which it is practiced.
