While being the dominant source of energy, oil has also brought wealth and power to the western world.     Sammanfattning : The formation of modern society has been dominated by coal and oil, and together these two fossil fuels account for nearly two thirds of all primary energy used by mankind.  This makes future production a key question for future social development and this thesis attempts to answer whether it is possible to rely on an assumption of ever increasing production of coal and oil.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to test the hypotheses that (1) biodiversity at a farm level differs between small and large farms, and (2) it is possible to combine high biodiversity at farm level with high food production, sustainable nutrient circulation, and self-sufficiency in fuels.     Sammanfattning : Hydrogen is an important part of crude oil refining operations since it is required in several units for the desulphurization and upgrading of various oil fractions. At present, most of the refineries meet their hydrogen demand through methane steam reforming, a refinery unit that can represent up to 25% of the plant’s fossil CO2 emissions. LÄS MER
