1. Resistance of polygonal cross-sections : application on steel towers for wind turbines
Sammanfattning : Wind power is considered an efficient alternative for production of electrical energy. One advantage that wind power offers compared to conventional ways of producing energy such as fossil energy and nuclear energy is the low emission of carbon dioxide “CO2” during production of electrical energy. 3. Fragmentation cross sections: measurement, systematics and model developement
Sammanfattning : Man's attitude towards space exploration has been mainly limited by the health risk related to the exposure to the space radiation environment. Some components of the space field can be characterized by such a high flux to kill a man if directly exposed and in general, all space radiation constitutes a hazard for astronauts engaged in long-term missions. 4. From Particle-Production Cross Sections to KERMA and Absorbed Dose for the Case 96 MeV n-12C Interactions
Sammanfattning : Neutron-carbon interactions have been studied with a focus on charged-particle production of relevance to radiation protection and medical applications, such as cancer therapy. The measurements have been performed using the particle-detection setup, MEDLEY, and the 96 MeV neutron beam at the The Svedberg Laboratory in Uppsala. LÄS MER
5. High-Resolution Measurement of the 4He(g,n) Reaction in the Giant Resonance Region
Sammanfattning : A comprehensive near-threshold 4He(g,n) absolute cross section measurement has been performed at the high-resolution tagged-photon facility MAX-lab located in Lund, Sweden. The 20 < Eg < 45 MeV tagged photons (covering the Giant Dipole Resonance energy region) were directed towards a liquid 4He target, and knocked-out neutrons were detected in a pair of 60 cm x 60 cm vetoed NE213A liquid scintillator arrays.
