  1. 1. Flexible Synthesis of Rigid Cyclophanes - Synthesis and derivatisation of 2,7-diaza-1,2,3,6,7,8-hexahydropyrene into chiral macrocycles

    Författare :Jörgen Toftered; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Macromolecular chemistry; Makromolekylär kemi; biomimetic; cross-linking; thiourea; urea; difluorodinitrobenzene; cyclodimerisation; Cyclophanes; macrocycles;

    Sammanfattning : Rigid, chiral and amphiphilic cyclophanes of potential use as biomimetic host molecules were prepared by cyclic dimerisation of chiral diamino building blocks with amino-reactive cross-linking reagents. A reliable synthesis of the scaffold 2,7-diaza-1,2,3,6,7,8-hexahydropyrene was developed. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Covalent cross-linking chemistry is currently exploited in the preparation of biomaterial for biomedical applications. Choice of these chemistries for the preparation of biomaterials and bioconjugates strongly influences the biological output of these materials. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Aspects of Antisense and Antigene Chemistry of Oligonucleotides Tethered to Intercalators

    Författare :Dimitri Ossipov; Jesper Wengel; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Bioorganic chemistry; oligonucleotides; intercalators; ruthenium complexes; RNase H cleavage; photocross-linkage; Bioorganisk kemi; Bioorganic chemistry; Bioorganisk kemi; bioorganisk kemi; Biorganic Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Synthetic and physicochemical studies on appropriately functionalized ODN-conjugates have been performed to evaluate their abilities to act as antisense agents against RNA or as intramolecular DNA cross-linking agents. Intercalating aromatic systems [phenazine (Pnz), dipyridophenazine (DPPZ)] and metallointercalators such as Ru2+(phen)2(DPPZ) and Ru2+(tpy)(DPPZ)L [where L = chemically or photochemically labile ligand, phen = phenanthroline, tpy = terpyridine], which are covalently tethered to the oligo-deoxynucleotides (ODNs), have been chosen for this purpose.
