  1. 6. Effects of fertilisation with biogas residues on crop yield, soil microbiology and greenhouse gas emissions : recycling of plant nutrients from bioenergy production

    Författare :Jamal Abubaker; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The amount of residues generated by biogas production has increased dramatically due to worldwide interest in using renewable energy. Biogas residues (BRs) originate from anaerobic degradation of different types of rural and urban organic wastes and have been proposed as organic fertilisers because of their high content of ammonium and other valuable macro- and micro-nutrients. 2. 7. Nitrogen dynamics in crop sequences with winter oilseed rape and winter wheat

    Författare :Lena Engström; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : With the aim of improving fertiliser nitrogen (N) strategies and reducing N leaching, seasonal changes in soil N supply in crop sequences with winter wheat after winter oilseed rape were examined through field experiments. Break crop effects on wheat after oilseed rape, compared with after peas and oats, were determined as regards residual N, yield and optimum N rate (Opt-N). LÄS MER

  3. 8. Climate Impact and Energy Balance of Emerging Biorefinery Systems

    Författare :Hanna Karlsson Potter; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Use of fossil fuels is the main contributor to anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG). Biorefineries, which are facilities that produce a set of valuable products from biomass, have been suggested as alternatives to fossil refineries, for the production of fuels, chemicals and materials. 4. 9. Climate impacts of woody biomass use for heat and power production in Sweden

    Författare :Torun Hammar; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming is a result of human-induced greenhouse gas emissions, primarily from fossil fuel use, but also from land use changes. To mitigate climate change, fossil fuel-based energy systems need to be replaced with alternative energy sources. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Land Use Conflicts between Agriculture and Energy Production : Systems Approaches to Allocate Potentials for Bioenergy and Agrophotovoltaics

    Författare :Daniel Ketzer; Peter Schlyter; Henrik Ny; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Renewable energies; Geographic Information Systems; Agrophotovoltaics; Participatory technology development; Responsible Research and Innovation; Physical Geography; naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : The developments towards a bio-based economy and a renewable energy-based power supply require thorough assessments of feedstocks and frameworks. In the past, political targets for increasing shares of renewable energies for combatting climate change have triggered direct land use changes (LUCs) and even indirect land use changes (iLUCs).
