    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to explain how the management of insane offenders operated and changed in Sweden in the approximate period 1850–1930.     Sammanfattning : Background: Forensic psychiatry is characterised by compulsory care and long hospital stays, where nurses care for patients with severe mental illness, who often have committed crimes.
