  2. 2. Validity and reliability of vehicle collis : crash pulse recorders for impact severity and injury risk assessment in real-life frontal impacts

    Författare :Anders Kullgren; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :crash recorder; crash pulse recorder; impact severity; injury risk; real-life impacts; measurement accuracy; neck injuries; long-term consequences; reconstruction;

    Sammanfattning : The general objectives of this thesis were to study the importance of valid and reliable data from real- life collisions, especially the effects of inaccurate data on analyses of eg injury risks. Furthermore an objective was to develop and validate an on-board measurement device for acceleration measurements, to be used in reconstructions of primarily frontal impacts. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Neck Injury Risk in Rear-End Impacts. Risk Factors and Neck Injury Criterion Evaluation with Madymo Modelling and Real-Life Data

    Författare :Linda Eriksson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; injury criteria; rear-end impacts; neck injuries; mathematical modelling; injury probability; head restraints; BioRID; NICmax; risk factors; WAD; car seats;

    Sammanfattning : Soft-tissue neck injuries, also termed AIS 1 neck injuries, are common after low-speed rear-end impacts. These injuries, which can be long-lasting, have increased in frequency during the past few decades. There is no consensus regarding injury mechanisms; however, injury criteria have been proposed, without yet being fully evaluated. LÄS MER
