  1. 1. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation : Pharmacological Interventions for Augmentation of Cerebral Blood Flow

    Författare :Jakob Johansson; Sten Rubertsson; Rolf Gedeborg; Sven-Erik Gisvold; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Anaesthesiology and intensive care; Adrenaline epinephrine ; Cardiac arrest; Cardiopulmonary resuscitation; Cerebral blood flow; Guidelines; Post-resuscitation period; Vasopressin; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthetics and intensive care; Anestesiologi och intensivvård;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiac arrest results in immediate interruption of blood flow. The primary goal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is to re-establish blood flow and hence oxygen delivery to the vital organs. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Bystander CPR : New aspects of CPR training among students and the importance of bystander education level on survival

    Författare :Anette Nord; Lennart Nilsson; Leif Svensson; Susanne Kreitz-Sandberg; Håkan Hult; Jörg Carlsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; CPR; CPR training; BLS; Laymen; Bystander CPR; Students; Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest; Cardiac arrest; Mobile application; DVD; Feedback; Reflection; Web course; Cardiff test; Myocardial infarction; Stroke; Lifestyle factors; Elite athletes; Willingness; Survival; HLR; HLR-utbildning; Lekman; Högstadieelever; Hjärtstopp; Webutbildning; Dvd; Mobil applikation; Återkoppling; Reflektion; Cardiff test; Hjärtinfarkt; Stroke; Levnadsvanor; Elitidrottare; Motivation; Överlevnad;

    Sammanfattning : Background: It has been proved that bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) saves lives; however, which training method in CPR is most instructive and whether survival is affected by the training level of the bystander have not yet been fully described. Aim: To identify the factors that may affect 7th grade students’ acquisition of CPR skills during CPR training and their willingness to act, and to describe 30-day survival from outof- hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) after bystander CPR and the actions performed by laymen versus off-duty medically educated personnel. 3. 3. Experimental cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation : A study of cerebral perfusion with special reference to the postresuscitation disturbances

    Författare :Ala Nozari; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Cardiac arrest; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; cerebral blood flow; post-resuscitation period; epinephrine; vasopressin; aortic occlusion; isoprostane; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; Anestesiologi; Anaesthesiology;

    Sammanfattning : Ischemic neuronal injury continues to be a major delimiting factor in achieving successful clinical outcomesafter resuscitation from cardiac arrest. In this thesis, a pig model of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) wasused to address the effects of different interventions on cerebral blood flow and oxygenation during CPR and theinitial postresuscitation period. 4. 4. Experimental cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation : with special reference to cerebral eicosanoid production and free radical scavengers

    Författare :Xiaoli Liu; Marianne Forsman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Anaesthesiology and intensive care; cerebral resuscitation; reperfusion damage; oxidative injury; eicosanoid; free radical scavenger; neurological function; alkaline buffer; S-PBN; PBN; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anaesthetics and intensive care; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anestesiologi; Anaesthesiology;

    Sammanfattning : Reperfusion injury after restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) is often considered one of the predominant factors in determining neurological outcome in cardiac arrest. Therefore one of the main targets of experimental and clinical studies has been to mitigate this reperfusion injury. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Cerebral Protection in Experimental Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation : With Special Reference to the Effects of Methylene Blue

    Författare :Adriana Miclescu; Lars Wiklund; Samar Basu; Jo Kramer-Johansen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cardiac arrest; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; reperfusion injury; methylene blue; nitric oxide; nitric oxide synthases; blood-brain barrier; Anaesthetics and intensive care; Anestesiologi och intensivvård; Anestesiologi; Anaesthesiology;

    Sammanfattning : Although survival rates are increasing, brain injury continues to be a leading cause of death after cardiac arrest (CA). Permanent brain damage after CA is determined by limited tolerance to ischemia from CA and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as well as the unique cerebral response to reperfusion after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).
