  1. 1. Arbetsskada : samspelet mellan skadestånd och andra ersättningsordningar

    Författare :Mia Carlsson; Jan Kleineman; Bertil Bengtsson; Are Stenvik; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; occupational damage; tort law; insurance law; social insurance; safety insurance; Swedish model; personal injury; evidence; causation; compensatio; arbetsskada; skadeståndsrätt; försäkringsrätt; socialförsäkring; trygghetsförsäkring; ersättningsrätt; svenska modellen; personskada; orsakssamband; bevisning; beräkning av ersätt-ning; Tort law; Skadeståndsrätt; Private Law; civilrätt;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the issue of compensation for work-related injuries – the so called occupa-tional damages. Tort law, private insurance law, insurances due to collective bargaining, public insurances covering occupational damages as well as different areas of the social security system are all connected in a vast and complex structure. 2. 2. A Unificationist Theory of Scientific Explanation

    Författare :Rebecca Schweder; Teoretisk filosofi; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; theory reduction; explanatory argument; covering law model; unificationism; scientific explanation; understanding; Philosophical logic; Teoretisk filosofi; logik;

    Sammanfattning : What is the relation between scientific explanation and understanding? The thesis investigates a notion of understanding that is believed to be central to scientific explanation. The role of understanding in explanation is double: it is both an essential component, as well as a criterion, by which we select bona fide explanations from non-explanations. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On Causal Attribution

    Författare :B. Ingemar B. Lindahl; Dugald Murdoch; Ingmar Pörn; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; causation; cause-condition distinction; causal selection; differentiating factor; inus condition; explanation; covering-law model; Mill’s methods; objectivity; pragmatics; responsibility; abnormalism; history; science; Theoretical philosophy; Teoretisk filosofi; Theoretical Philosophy; teoretisk filosofi;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation treats of the problem of attributing the occurrence of an individual event or state to a single cause — a problem commonly understood either as a question of distinguishing the cause from the mere conditions or as a matter of singling out, from several causes, one cause, as the cause. The main purpose of the study is to clarify some basic concepts, and some criteria of ascertainment of the cause, that may be discerned in the literature on causal attribution. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Charge and Energy Transport in Disordered Organic Semiconductors

    Författare :Hassan Abdalla; Martijn Kemerink; Ronald Österbacka; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Improvement of the performance of organic disordered semiconductors (OSC) is driven by the understanding   of the underlying charge transport mechanisms and systematic exploitation thereof. There exists a multitude of materials and material systems based on polymers and small molecules with promising performance for use in organic light emitting diodes, photovoltaics, organic field-effect transistors and thermoelectrics. 5. 5. Aging and Characterization of Semiconducting Glazes

    Författare :Heike Ullrich; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Semiconducting glazes on ceramic insulators had been introduced as a solution for improving the performance of high voltage insulators especially under heavily polluted conditions. The major concern in using such glazes, despite their approved advantages, is the observed aging of the surface with exposure time, leading to reduction of conductivity and deterioration of the glaze itself, especially under dc voltage.
