1. Corrosion Fatigue of Stainless Steels
Sammanfattning : The aim of this work was to investigate the effect ofchloride-containing environments on corrosion fatigueproperties for different stainless steels grades. The steelsinvestigated ranged from the standard 304 grade to thesuperaustenitic 654SMO and the superduplex SAF2507. LÄS MER
2. Oxidation, Creep and Fatigue Synergies in Cast Materials for Exhaust Manifolds
Sammanfattning : The future development of engines of heavy-duty vehicles towards reduced CO2 emission will increase the exhaust gas temperature and render the exhaust atmosphere more corrosive. The current service material of exhaust gas components - a ferritic ductile cast iron called SiMo51 - will soon meet its upper-temperature limit. LÄS MER
3. High-Temperature Corrosion-Fatigue of Cast Alloys for Exhaust Manifolds
Sammanfattning : The introduction of gas-driven Otto engine and the corresponding usage of bio-fuels in heavy-duty engines will render the exhaust atmosphere more corrosive and bring a higher working temperature to exhaust manifolds. The current service material, a ferritic ductile cast iron called SiMo51, will soon meet its upper temperature limit set by the ferrite-austenite transformation at 860ºC. LÄS MER
4. Oxidation and corrosion fatigue aspects of cast exhaust manifolds
Sammanfattning : Emission regulations for heavy-duty diesel engines are becoming increasingly restrictive to limit the environmental impacts of exhaust gases and particles. Increasing the specific power output of diesel engines would improve fuel efficiency and greatly reduce emissions, but these changes could lead to increased exhaust gas temperature, increasing demands on the exhaust manifold material. 5. Fatigue and Corrosion Fatigue Fracture of a Plasma Nitrided, Laser Hardened, and Galvanized B-Mn Steel
Sammanfattning : Fundamental and technological aspects of fatigue and fracture of conventional and advanced material are topics of primary importance to the development of materials science and engineering. Surface treatments have been established to improve the surface properties of material against surface phenomenon such as wear, corrosion, fatigue and corrosion fatigue. LÄS MER
