16. Physicochemical studies of oxide zinc mineral flotation
Sammanfattning : At the present, zinc is produced mostly from zinc sulphide ores because the sulphides are easy to separate from the gangue and to concentrate by conventional flotation techniques but in the case of oxide zinc ores, the recovery of zinc is not enough high. The objective of the present study is to investigate the influence of different cationic, anionic and mixed collectors on the flotation of smithsonite mineral and an oxide zinc ore at various concentrations and pH values. 17. Zeolite ZSM5 catalysts for abatement of nitrogen oxide
Sammanfattning : Airborne pollutants from the combustion of fossil fuels area global problem. Emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is increasing with the worldwide increase in theuse of energy. Atmospheric and photochemical reactions linknitrogen oxides to hydrocarbons and tropospheric ozone. LÄS MER
18. Superoxide dismutase 1 and cataract
Sammanfattning : Light and oxygen generate harmful reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the lens, causing biochemical changes that gradually disarrange the lens fibres resulting in light scattering and loss of transparency. In the healthy eye, this chronic exposure to oxidative stress may lead to age-related cataract. LÄS MER
19. Suspended particulate matter, sedimentation and early diagenetic processes in the Kalix River estuary, northern Sweden
Sammanfattning : Many important reactions controlling the transfer of elements from the continents to coastal waters and the oceans are taking place in estuaries. For many elements, estuaries can act as filters, capable of reducing the river load of dissolved and particulate elements to the oceans. LÄS MER
20. The effect of microstructural features, defects and surface quality on the fatigue performance in Al-Si-Mg Cast alloys
Sammanfattning : Global warming is driving industry to manufacture lighter components to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Promising candidates for achieving this are aluminium-silicon (Al-Si) cast alloys, which offer a high weight-to-strength ratio, excellent corrosion resistance, and good castability. LÄS MER
