   Sammanfattning : α-synuclein is an intrinsically disordered protein implicated in synaptic vesicle trafficking at the synapse. Accumulation of α-synuclein in the form of amyloid deposits coincides with the loss of dopaminergic neurons in Parkinsons disease. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Designed polypeptides, which fold into helix-loop-helix motifs and dimerise to four-helix bundles have been used as scaffolds for the introduction of catalytic activity for the hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl esters. The reactive sites were based on the reactivity of histidine, and two His residues separated by four residues in the sequence was shown to be the minimal reactive site for the efficient hydrolysis of nitrophenyl esters.    Sammanfattning : Chapter 2 investigates an infinitely repeated Bertrand duopoly where firms with different discount factors bargain over which collusive price and market share to implement. The bargaining is modelled as a strategic game and the main results of the paper is that it shows existence of a unique subgame perfect equilibrium and that the least patient firm's equilibrium market share is not monotone in its own discount factor.
