    Sammanfattning : Kraft pulping technology is currently the most commonly-used method for producing paper pulp from wood. A new and promising opportunity for Kraft pulp mills is to take a step towards becoming biorefineries by implementing technologies able to extract and convert the organic by-products, such as lignin, into a wide range of value-added products and chemicals.     Sammanfattning : Gap waveguide technology has proved to constitute an effective alternative for the design of microwave passive components, due to its advantages with respect to traditional planar technologies and standard waveguides. There is no requirement for conductive contact between the two different metal pieces making up a gap waveguide prototype, since one of these pieces makes use of a textured surface that eliminates any possible leakage of the field through the gap to the surface of the other metal piece above it.     Sammanfattning : The millimeter wave frequency range has got a lot of attention over the past few years because it contains unused frequency spectrum resources that are suitable for delivering Gbit/s end-user access in areas with high user density. Due to the limited output power that current RF active components can deliver in millimeter waves, antennas with the merits of low profile, high gain, high effciency and low cost are needed to compensate free space path loss and increase the communication distance for the emerging high data rate wireless systems.
