  1. 11. Towards sustainable plastics : Microbial production of aromatic and aliphatic building blocks from biobased feedstock and plastic hydrolysate

    Författare :Oliver Englund Örn; Bioteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cell factories; Biobased plastics; Protocatechuic acid; Adipic acid; 4-Hydroxybyratate; 1; 4-Butanediol; PBAT; Enzymatic recycling; Synthetic promoter library;

    Sammanfattning : The current plastic system is unsustainable and needs to change. Plastics are mainly produced from fossil feedstock, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, and low rate of post-consumer recycling results in pollution on land and in oceans with high ecological impact, and huge loss of valuable material. 2. 12. Experimental and Clinical Studies on Contact Allergy to Diphenylmethane-4,4′-diisocyanate and Related Substances

    Författare :Haneen Hamada; Yrkes- och miljödermatologi; []
    Nyckelord :4; 4′-MDI; freund s complete adjuvant; Guinea pig maximization test; 4; 4 -MDA; 4; 4 -DMDA; 4; 4 -DMDI; PPD; p-phenylenediamine; 2; 4-TDI; Toluene diisocyanate; trimer; FCA; Cross-reactivity; dermal uptake; contact allergy; contact dermatitis;

    Sammanfattning : The exposure to isocyanates is more of an occupational problem than a consumer problem. The main route of exposure is assumed to be through inhalation. Isocyanates that have high vapor pressure, such as TDI, can be airborne at room temperature. Other isocyanates such as MDI are volatile only when heated. LÄS MER

  3. 13. On a learning system for industrial automation : Model-based control and diagnostics for decision support

    Författare :Moksadur Rahman; Konstantinos Kyprianidis; Anders Avelin; Gunnar Bengtsson; John Hedengren; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Learning system; Supervisory system; Pulp and paper; Micro gas turbine; Process modelling; Model-based control; Diagnostics; Decision support; Anomaly detection; Fault detection; Energy- and Environmental Engineering; energi- och miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Access to energy is fundamental to economic and technological advancement. Hence, the more the world develops, the greater the demand for energy becomes. Evidently, the production and consumption of energy alone account for more than 80% of global anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. LÄS MER
