  1. 1. Robust machine learning methods

    Författare :Muhammad Osama; Dave Zachariah; Thomas B. Schön; Visa Koivunen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; artificial intelligence; machine learning; risk minimization; data corruption; decision policy; conformal methods; data from contexts; online learning; spice; robust; causal inference; point process; localization; distribution uncertainty; treatment rules; quantile treatment; predicting count data; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Signal Processing; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot signalbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : We are surrounded by data in our daily lives. The rent of our houses, the amount of electricity units consumed, the prices of different products at a supermarket, the daily temperature, our medicine prescriptions, our internet search history are all different forms of data. Data can be used in a wide range of applications. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Conformal anomaly detection : Detecting abnormal trajectories in surveillance applications

    Författare :Rikard Laxhammar; Göran Falkman; Pontus Svenson; Högskolan i Skövde; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Anomaly detection; conformal prediction; trajectory analysis; video surveillance; maritime surveillance; Technology; Teknik; Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab SAIL ; Skövde Artificial Intelligence Lab SAIL ;

    Sammanfattning : Human operators of modern surveillance systems are confronted with an increasing amount of trajectory data from moving objects, such as people, vehicles, vessels, and aircraft. A large majority of these trajectories reflect routine traffic and are uninteresting. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Analysis and Design of Conformal Array Antennas

    Författare :Patrik Persson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Conformal antennas; conformal arrays; UTD; high frequency method; MoM; hybrid method; mutual coupling; singly curved surface; doubly curved surface; geodesics; dielectric covered circular cylinder; non-paraxial region. paraxial region; waveguide fed; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Today there is a great need for communication between people and even between things, using systems onboard e.g. aircraft, cars, ships and satellites. As a consequence, these communications needs require antennas mounted on or integrated in the surfaces of different vehicles or platforms, i. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Radiation and Scattering from Conformal Array Antennas

    Författare :Björn Thors; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :conformal antennas; antenna arrays; antenna radiation patterns; radar cross sections; electromagnetic scattering; UTD; moment methods; high frequency method; hybrid method; mutual coupling;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with radiation and scattering fromconformal array antennas. A hybrid technique between the Methodof Moments (MoM) and different asymptotic methods is used forthe analysis, combining the accuracy of the MoM and theefficiency of the asymptotic methods. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Numerical Conformal Mappings for Waveguides

    Författare :Anders Andersson; Börje Nilsson; Joachim Toft; Michael Benedicks; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; waveguide; building block method; numerical conformal mappings; Schwarz–Christoffel mapping; rounded corners method; approximate curve factors; outer polygon method; boundary curvature; zipper method; geodesic algorithm; acoustic wave scattering; electro-magnetic wave scattering; Applied mathematics; Tillämpad matematik; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Sammanfattning : Acoustic or electro-magnetic scattering in a waveguide with varying direction and cross-section can be re-formulated as a two-dimensional scattering problem, provided that the variations take place in only one dimension at a time. By using the so-called Building Block Method, it is possible to construct the scattering properties of a combination of scatterers when the properties of each scatterer are known. LÄS MER
