  1. 1. Towards Model-Based Condition Monitoring of Railway Switches and Crossings

    Författare :Marko Milosevic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sleeper void; Switches crossings; condition indicators; embedded sleeper accelerometer; multi-body simulations; dynamic vehicle–track interaction; MBS; S C; wheel–rail contact forces; condition monitoring; crossing rail geometry; displacement reconstruction.; model calibration;

    Sammanfattning : Railway switches and crossings (S&C, turnouts) connect different track sections and create a railway network by allowing for trains to change between tracks. This functionality comes at a cost as the load-inducing rail discontinuities in the switch and crossing panels cause much higher degradation rates for S&C compared to regular plain line track. 2. 2. Indicators and predictors of sleepiness

    Författare :Johannes van den Berg; Ulf Landström; Gregory Neely; Anders Knutsson; Palle Ørbæk; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Public health; Sleep Scale KSS ; Category-Ratio Scale CR-10 ; sleepiness; sleep; driving; indicator; sleep debt; heart rate variability; electroencephalography EEG ; head movements; performance; truck drivers; sleep habits; predictor; Folkhälsomedicin; Public health medicine research areas; Folkhälsomedicinska forskningsområden;

    Sammanfattning : Sleep is a basic need as important as physical fitness and good nutrition. Without enough sleep, we will create a sleep debt and experience sleepiness. Sleepiness can be defined as the inability to stay awake, a condition that has become a health problem in our 24-hour-7-day-a-week society. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Health Monitoring for Aircraft Systems using Decision Trees and Genetic Evolution

    Författare :Mike Gerdes; Diego Galar; Uday Kumar; Dieter Scholz; Piotr Bilski; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Condition Monitoring; Remaining Useful Life Prediction; Decision Tree; Genetic Algorithm; Fuzzy Decision Tree Evaluation; System Monitoring; Aircraft Health Monitoring; Feature Extraction; Feature Selection; Data Driven; Health Prognostic; Knowledge Based System; Supervised Learning; Data-Driven Predictive Health Monitoring; Health Indicators; Machine Learning; Big Data; Pattern Recognition; Drift och underhållsteknik; Operation and Maintenance;

    Sammanfattning : Reducing unscheduled maintenance is important for aircraft operators. There are significant costs if flights must be delayed or cancelled, for example, if spares are not available and have to be shipped across the world. LÄS MER

  4. 4. From Condition Monitoring to Maintenance Management in Electric Power System Generation with focus on Wind Turbines

    Författare :Peyman Mazidi; Miguel Ángel Sanz Bobi; Lina Bertling Tjernberg; Javier García González; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Anomaly Detection; Condition Monitoring; Maintenance Management; Performance Evaluation; Data Analytics; Mathematical Modeling; Optimization; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : With increase in the number of sensors installed on sub-assemblies of industrial components, the amount of data collected is rapidly increasing. These data hold information in the areas of operation of the system and evolution of health condition of the components. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Unsupervised feature learning applied to condition monitoring

    Författare :Sergio Martín del Campo Barraza; Fredrik Sandin; Kjersti Engan; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell elektronik; Industrial Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : Improving the reliability and efficiency of rotating machinery are central problems in many application domains, such as energy production and transportation. This requires efficient condition monitoring methods, including analytics needed to predict and detect faults and manage the high volume and velocity of data. LÄS MER
