21. A systemic traffic accident model
Sammanfattning : Accident models are essential for all efforts in safety engineering. They influence the investigation and analysis of accidents, the assessment of systems and the development of precautions. Looking at accident statistics, the trend for Swedish roads is not pointing towards increased safety. LÄS MER
22. Improving the Utilization of Digital Services - Evaluating Contest-Driven Open Data Development and the Adoption of Cloud Services : Evaluating Contest-Driven Open Data Development and the Adoption of Cloud Services
Sammanfattning : There is a growing interest in the utilization of digital services, such as software apps and cloud-based software services. The utilization of digital services enabled by ICT is increasing more rapidly than any other segment of the world trade. LÄS MER
23. Aspects of analysis of small-sample right censored data using generalized Wilcoxon rank tests
Sammanfattning : The estimated bias and variance of commonly applied and jackknife variance estimators and observed significance level and power of standardised generalized Wilcoxon linear rank sum test statistics and tests, respectively, of Gehan and Prentice are compared in a Monte Carlo simulation study. The variance estimators are the permutational-, the conditional permutational- and the jackknife variance estimators of the test statistic of Gehan, and the asymptotic- and the jackknife variance estimators of the test statistic of Prentice. 24. Five essays on models and methods for the analysis of survival data with single and multiple causes of failure : With applications in family demography
Sammanfattning : The dissertation consists of five self-contained essays dealing with analytical investigations, simulation studies, and demographic applications of statistical models and associated methods for the analysis of the so-called survival data. Our analytical results in the first paper indicate that models for grouped survival data which, depending on the application, are labeled different names, practically, make use of the same method in the process of parameter estimation and inference. 25. Automated Malware Detection and Classification Using Supervised Learning
Sammanfattning : Malware has been one of the key concerns for Information Technology security researchers for decades. Every year, anti-malware companies release alarming statistics suggesting a continuous increase in the number and types of malware. LÄS MER
