  1. 1. MaltParser -- An Architecture for Inductive Labeled Dependency Parsing

    Författare :Johan Hall; Joakim Nivre; Welf Löwe; Martin Volk; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Dependency Parsing; Support Vector Machines; Machine Learning; Language technology; Språkteknologi; Computer and Information Sciences Computer Science; Data- och informationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis presents a software architecture for inductive labeled dependency parsing of unrestricted natural language text, which achieves a strict modularization of parsing algorithm, feature model and learning method such that these parameters can be varied independently. The architecture is based on the theoretical framework of inductive dependency parsing by Nivre \citeyear{nivre06c} and has been realized in MaltParser, a system that supports several parsing algorithms and learning methods, for which complex feature models can be defined in a special description language. 2. 2. Computational electromagnetics : software development and high frequency modeling of surface currents on perfect conductors

    Författare :Sandy Sefi; Jesper Oppelstrup; Francisco Saez de Adana; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; High frequency approximations; Maxwell’s equations; Method of Moments; Physical Optics; Geometrical Theory of Diffraction; Extraction Extrapolation; Numerical analysis; Numerisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : In high frequency computational electromagnetics, rigorous numerical methods be come unrealistic tools due to computational demand increasing with the frequency. Instead approximations to the solutions of the Maxwell equations can be employed to evaluate th electromagnetic fields. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Computational Terminology : Exploring Bilingual and Monolingual Term Extraction

    Författare :Jody Foo; Magnus Merkel; Lars Ahrenberg; Dimitrios Kokkinakis; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; terminology; automatic term extraction; automatic term recognition; computational terminology; terminology management;

    Sammanfattning : Terminologies are becoming more important to modern day society as technology and science continue to grow at an accelerating rate in a globalized environment. Agreeing upon which terms should be used to represent which concepts and how those terms should be translated into different languages is important if we wish to be able to communicate with as little confusion and misunderstandings as possible. 4. 4. Computational interaction models for automated vehicles and cyclists

    Författare :Ali Mohammadi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; automated vehicles; vulnerable road users; computational models; driver models; active safety systems; cyclists’ interaction;

    Sammanfattning : Cyclists’ safety is crucial for a sustainable transport system. Cyclists are considered vulnerable road users because they are not protected by a physical compartment around them. In recent years, passenger car occupants’ share of fatalities has been decreasing, but that of cyclists has actually increased. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Computational Ice Sheet Dynamics : Error control and efficiency

    Författare :Josefin Ahlkrona; Per Lötstedt; Jesse Johnson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ice sheet modelling; stokes equations; shallow ice approximation; finite element method; perturbation expansions; non-newtonian fluids; free surface flow; Scientific Computing; Beräkningsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Ice sheets, such as the Greenland Ice Sheet or Antarctic Ice Sheet, have a fundamental impact on landscape formation, the global climate system, and on sea level rise. The slow, creeping flow of ice can be represented by a non-linear version of the Stokes equations, which treat ice as a non-Newtonian, viscous fluid. LÄS MER
