1. Shape from shading, colour constancy, and deutan colour vision deficiencies
Sammanfattning : Four studies including ten experiments adresses interrelations between some major and classical issues in visual perception: 3-D perception, colour constancy, colour perception and colour vision deficiencies. The main experimental paradigm to investigate the issues is within that of simulated shape from shading. LÄS MER
2. Early Discourses on Colour and Cinema : Origins, Functions, Meanings
Sammanfattning : This dissertation is a historical and theoretical study of a number of discourses examining colour and cinema during the period 1909 to 1935 (trade press, film reviews, publications on film technology, manuals, catalogues and theoretical texts from the era). 3. Colour Vision in Birds : Comparing behavioural thresholds and model predictions
Sammanfattning : Birds use colour vision for many biologically relevant behaviours such as foraging and mate choice. Bird colour vision is mediated by four types of single cones, giving them an extra dimension of colour information compared to trichromatic humans. LÄS MER
4. Liksom ett par nya ögon. Frithiof Holmgren och synsinnets problematik

5. Bird Vision: Spatial acuity and colour discrimination in bright and dim light
Sammanfattning : Birds use vision to guide navigation, foraging and mate choice, and studies of the limitations in bird visual perception are most helpful for the understanding of bird ecology. Here, I present four studies of bird vision in bright and dim light. LÄS MER
