    Sammanfattning : Full deployment of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) on public roads is challenging for organizations in the automotive domain in terms of developing safety standards and methods while taking legacy assumptions related to having a human driver and increased complexity and complexity handling into account. Specifically, the safety of AVs in the presence of other road users must be guaranteed as far as possible for different traffic scenarios. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modelling and inference of relative collision safety in cars

    Författare :Anna Vadeby; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Collision; Mathematical model; Head on collision; Injury; Risk; Car; 91 Road: Vehicle design and construction; 91 Road: Vehicle design and construction; 85 Road: Personal injuries; 85 Road: Personal injuries;

    Sammanfattning : We propose a new mathematical model for relative collision safety in cars. Our present research is restricted to head-on crashes between two cars and we try to determine how much of the injury risk in a crash that depends on car model. The relative risks include the driver populations of the different car models. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Autonomous systems (a.k.a., agents) are often designed to move and execute tasks, without or with little human intervention. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Automatic Model Generation and Scalable Verification for Autonomous Vehicles : Mission Planning and Collision Avoidance

    Författare :Rong Gu; Cristina Seceleanu; Eduard Enoiu; Kristina Lundqvist; Larsen Kim; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Autonomous vehicles such as mobile driver-less construction equipment bear the promise of increased safety and industrial productivity by automating repetitive tasks and reducing manual labor costs. These systems are usually involved in safety- or mission-critical scenarios, therefore they require thorough analysis and verification. LÄS MER

  5. 5. RoPax Ship Collision – a Methodology for Survivability Analysis

    Författare :Per Hogström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; non-linear FEA; failure modelling; uncertainty analysis; Crashworthiness; sheet metal failure; ship collision; damage stability;

    Sammanfattning : Throughout the world, ships are continuously being declared as total losses and 10 to 15% of these accidents are collisions between ships. The consequences of a collision are diverse and depend on the ship type, e.g. oil outflow in the case of damaged tankers or loss of stability in damaged passenger ships. LÄS MER
