  1. 1. CO2 storage in deep saline aquifers : Models for geological heterogeneity and large domains

    Författare :Liang Tian; Auli Niemi; Fritjof Fagerlund; Simon Mathias; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CO2; Carbon Capture Storage; Storage Capacity; Injectivity; Monte Carlo; Gaussian; Permeability; Upscaling; 二氧化碳; 地質封存; 高斯仿真; 滲透係數; 非均質性; 升尺度; 存儲效能; 場地模擬; 不確定性; 壓力累積;

    Sammanfattning : This work presents model development and model analyses of CO2 storage in deep saline aquifers. The goal has been two-fold, firstly to develop models and address the system behaviour under geological heterogeneity, second to tackle the issues related to problem scale as modelling of the CO2 storage systems can become prohibitively complex when large systems are considered. 4. 4. Residual and Solubility trapping during Geological CO2 storage : Numerical and Experimental studies

    Författare :Maria Rasmusson; Fritjof Fagerlund; Auli Niemi; Jonathan Ennis-King; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; capillary trapping; CCS; convective flow; CO2; light transmission; SO2; well test; Hydrology; Hydrologi;

    Sammanfattning : Geological storage of carbon dioxide (CO2) in deep saline aquifers mitigates atmospheric release of greenhouse gases. To estimate storage capacity and evaluate storage safety, knowledge of the trapping mechanisms that retain CO2 within geological formations, and the factors affecting these is fundamental. LÄS MER

  5. 5. NOx Storage and Reduction Catalysts. Reduction with Hydrogen and the Influence of Water and Carbon Dioxide

    Författare :Anna Maria Lindholm; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NSR catalyst; Pt Ba Al; H2O; CO2; Pt Al; NOx reduction; H2; NH3 formation; NOx storage; Lean NOx Trap; N2O formation; kinetic modeling; Pt Si;

    Sammanfattning : Environmental concern has increased over the past several years and resulted in stringent emission legislation on NOx, CO, and hydrocarbon emissions from automobile exhausts. Moreover, the demands to improve the fuel efficiency of engines and to lower the CO2 emissions have increased, and a way to meet this is by using lean burn engines which operate with oxygen excess.
