  1. 11. Job insecurity climate : The nature of the construct, its associations with outcomes, and its relation to individual job insecurity

    Författare :Lena Låstad; Erik Berntson; Katharina Näswall; Magnus Sverke; Tahira Probst; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Job insecurity climate; job insecurity; quantitative job insecurity; qualitative job insecurity; referent-shift; organizational collective climate; psychological collective climate; job satisfaction; work demands; work-family conflict; self-rated health; burnout; psykologi; Psychology;

    Sammanfattning : Work is an essential part of most people’s lives. With increasing flexibility in work life, many employees experience job insecurity – they perceive that the future of their jobs is uncertain. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Paleoclimate perspective on Earth's climate sensitivity and feedbacks

    Författare :Martin Renoult; Thorsten Mauritsen; Navjit Sagoo; Masa Kageyama; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Paleoclimate; Climate sensitivity; Climate feedbacks; Last Glacial Maximum; Pliocene; Snowball Earth; Emergent constraint; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi;

    Sammanfattning : The addition of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere due to human activities is the main driver of global warming. How much the Earth will warm in the future is often represented by the Earth's equilibrium climate sensitivity (ECS), the long-term temperature response considering the effect of climate feedbacks after an abrupt and sustained doubling of atmospheric CO2 from pre-industrial concentration. 3. 13. Boreal Forest Wildfire in a Changing Climate

    Författare :Johan Eckdahl; BECC: Biodiversity and Ecosystem services in a Changing Climate; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; boreal forest wildfire; carbon emissions; nutrient cycling; nitrogen; microbial community; plant community; climate chnge; secondary succession; Sweden; Fennoscandia; biodiversity; boreal skogsbrand; koldioxiduttsläpp; näringscykling; kväve; mirkobiellt samhälle; växtsamhälle; klimatförändring; sekundär succession; sverige; Fennoskandien; biologisk mångfald;

    Sammanfattning : The boreal region contains 40% of the earth’s carbon (C) that is stored in vegetation and soils with its forests accounting for almost 30% of the terrestrial C sink. Boreal forests are experiencing some of the most rapid rates of climatic warming and increases in fire activity, threatening to release large amounts of their dense C reserves to the atmosphere. 4. 14. Climate Change: Models, Metrics and Meaning Making

    Författare :Erik Sterner; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Climate Science Literacy; Emission Metrics; Knowledge-Behavior Gap; Short-lived Climate Forcers; SF Failure; Integral Theory; Carbon Cycle; Sea Level Rise; Common Pool Resources; Resource Extraction;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis, combining research in climate science and educational science, investigates different aspects of climate knowledge. It consists of five papers and covers three major topics: emission metrics, public understanding of atmospheric CO2 accumulation, and spatial modelling of natural resource use. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Kilometer-scale climate modeling of precipitation in the Nordic region

    Författare :Petter Lind; Erik Kjellström; Erik Kolstad; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Convection-permitting climate modeling; Precipitation; Extremes; Atmospheric convection; Nordic region; Climate change; Observations; Atmospheric Sciences and Oceanography; atmosfärvetenskap och oceanografi;

    Sammanfattning : Future changes in precipitation, in particular extremes, are among the most impact-relevant consequences of a warming climate driven by increases in atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations. Still, climate model projections of future changes in regional and local precipitation remain uncertain. LÄS MER
