16. Synthesis of Biomimetic Systems for Proton and Electron Transfer Reactions in the Ground and Excited State
Sammanfattning : A detailed understanding of natural photosynthesis provides inspiration for the development of sustainable and renewable energy sources, i.e. a technology that is capable of converting solar energy directly into chemical fuels. This concept is called artificial photosynthesis. LÄS MER
17. Traitement de l'interaction spin-orbite en chimie quantique et application à la réactivité des complexes d'actinides
Sammanfattning : The recent methodological developments and the advent of faster computers enable nowadays to investigate theoretically the chemical reactivity of heavy element complexes. As an example we can mention actinide chemistry which is involved in the separation of nuclear wastes. LÄS MER
18. Tuning electron transfer reactions by selective excitation in porphyrin-acceptor assemblies
Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns electron transfer reactions from different excited states in porphyrins, and the effect of changing the energy of the link connecting the donor and acceptor. Photoinduced electron transfer, and subsequent processes were studied using ultrashort laser pulses and nanosecond laser flash photolysis. LÄS MER
19. Molecular beam study of non-adiabatic electron transfer in the Cl2+Ksurf surface reaction
Sammanfattning : Halogen molecules impinging on alkali metal surfaces constitute model systems for studies of charge transfer, dissociation dynamics and non-adiabatic energy dissipation in molecule-surface reactions. This thesis reports emission of exo-electrons and photons from the surface as a result of strong non-adabaticity in the Cl2 gas on K$^{solid}$ reaction. LÄS MER
20. Photo-induced molecular processes and charge recombination reactions driven by non-adiabatic couplings
Sammanfattning : This thesis is based on a number of theoretical studies of molecular processes in which non-adiabatic effects play a crucial role. The main part is devoted to the photophysics and photochemistry of five-membered aromatic heterocyclic compounds, with particular focus on furan and thiophene. LÄS MER
