1. Patrullerande polisers yrkeskultur
Sammanfattning : Using ethnographical methods, this thesis examines the prevalence and character of an occupational culture among patrolling police in terms of frames of reference, conduct and attitudes, a culture which overrides or is in opposition to the official mandate of the police force. It is suggested that the occupational culture of the patrolling police should not be regarded as a homogenous culture but be seen as describing a continuum from a legalistic to a more autonomous perspective. Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines how perceptions of competence affect the care of older persons, and the values and vocational conceptions of care work and care recipients that are tied to the perceptions of what skills that are needed and why. Competence is defined by three parts with relevance for the content of care work: what knowledge the care workers should have, what tasks they should perform and how they should respond to care recipients. 3. Socialtjänstens förutsättningar för barnavårdsarbete : en studie om villkor, påfrestningar och resultat
Sammanfattning : The purpose of the study was to analyse the conditions under which the social services work with different types of child welfare families.The questions are:What conditions within the social services itself and what factors pertaining to the child welfare families are important for 1) the social workers’ experience of strains occasioned by the job, 2) social workers’ chances of achieving set goals, and 3) the satisfaction of clients with the help they received?The situations of the child welfare families, the organisational preconditions for the work, and the families’ opinions of the social services and the help they received were investigated in child welfare groups in two districts of Botkyrka' Municipality. Sammanfattning : The empirical aim of the thesis is to investigate what happens when global market-oriented models for auditing and quality assessment are taken up by local parishes. Particular attention is paid to the diaconal work of the parishes. The study is based on case studies where a number of parishes and auditing models provide the object of study. LÄS MER
