  1. 1. Satisfaction with Public Transport Trips

    Författare :Roberto Fernandez Abenoza; Yusak Octavius Susilo; Oded Cats; Sigal Kaplan; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; customer satisfaction; public transport; three-factor theory; accessibility; built-environment; weather; door-to-door trips; firs and last-mile; market segmentation; geographical variations; service quality; safety perceptions; temporal variations; Transportvetenskap; Transport Science;

    Sammanfattning : Continuous urban growth, environmental issues, competition for limited space, longer commuting distances as well as the need to promote equity and equality in society are the primary reasons that make the improvement of public transport (PT) services a key policy area in many countries across the globe. Travel satisfaction measures the perceived quality of the PT service and it is an important aspect that operators and PT authorities need to consider when improving the service offered. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Improving Travel Satisfaction with Public Transport

    Författare :Roberto Fernández Abenoza; Yusak Octavius Susilo; Oded Cats; Lars E. Olsson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Customer Satisfaction; Service Quality; Public Transport; Door-to-door journey; Trip legs; Multimodal trips; User profiles; Market segmentation; Geographical variations; Transportvetenskap; Transport Science;

    Sammanfattning : The existing link between PT travelers’ satisfaction, ridership and loyalty prove the relevance of improving overall trip satisfaction. The thesis present an array of approaches and methodologies aiming at increasing overall satisfaction with PT door-to-door trips while covering important issues that previous research has failed to address. 3. 3. On the Incentives to Shift to Low-Carbon Freight Transport

    Författare :Fredrik Eng Larsson; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; low-carbon transport; green logistics; sustainability; operations and the environment; supply chain management; incentive alignment;

    Sammanfattning : The transport sector accounts for approximately 20% of EU-27 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and 27% of U.S. GHG emissions. With the Kyoto Protocol, Sweden and several other nations have agreed to reduce these emissions. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Green Logistics through Modal Shift - exploring the role of the transport capacity contract

    Författare :Fredrik Eng Larsson; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; green logistics; modal shift; mode choice; capacity management; supply chain contracting; intermodal transport;

    Sammanfattning : Among policy-makers in Europe the modal shift - a shift från polluting modes of freight transport to less polluting modes - has been a popular suggestion for reducing CO2-emissions of transportation. In particular, intermodal road-rail solutions, where a combination of road and rail transport is utilized to move trailers and containers, have been stressed as an important measure to reach de desired reduction in emissions. 5. 5. The anode and the electrolyte in the MCFC

    Författare :Andreas Bodén; Göran Lindbergh; Carina Lagergren; Takao Watanabe; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; composite electrolytes; electrode kinetics; nickel solubility; porous electrode; reformate; water-gas shift reaction; electrolyte; electrolyte distribution; hydrogen oxidation reaction; ion segregation; mass transport; mathematical modelling; MCFC; molten carbonate fuel cell; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : A goal of the Swedish government is to increase the usage of renewable fuels and biomass-based fuels. Fuel cells, and especially the MCFC, are useful for these types of fuels. The Swedish market may benefit from the MCFC in two ways: increased efficiency of the biofuels and also utilisation of produced heat in district heating. LÄS MER
