  1. 1. The mold of writing : style and structure in Strindberg's chamber plays

    Författare :Erik van Ooijen; Lars-Åke Skalin; Ola Holmgren; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; August Strindberg; chamber play; literary form; writing; focus; ruin as form; simulation; speed; weed as form; Literature; Litteraturvetenskap; HUMANITIES and RELIGION; HUMANIORA och RELIGIONSVETENSKAP; Aesthetic subjects; Estetiska ämnen; Litteraturvetenskap; Literature;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis examines the five plays published by August Strindberg under the label of Chamber Plays: Stormy Weather, The Burned Lot, The Ghost Sonata, The Pelican (all 1907), and The Black Glove (1909). It takes its point of departure in a particular aspect of Strindberg’s way of writing as he actually describes it himself: during the act of deliberate composing, a productive fever tends to emerge bringing an element of chance to the work. 2. 2. Studies of Three Different Methods to Estimate the Up-link Performance of Mobile Phone Antennas

    Författare :Sathyaveer Prasad; Peter Händel; Claes Beckman; Jan Carlsson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Antenna measurements; mobile phones; total radiated power; reverberation chamber; anechoic chamber; Telia Scattered Field Method; Maximum likelihood Estimator; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : Antennas play an important role in determining the overall radio performance for wireless communications. If all other radio components perform according to their specifications, the performance of a mobile phone can be entirely determined by measuring the efficiency of its antenna. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Land-atmosphere exchange of carbon in a high-Arctic wet tundra ecosystem

    Författare :Torbern Tagesson; BECC: Biodiversity and Ecosystem services in a Changing Climate; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; carbon; methane; carbon dioxide; climate change; Arctic; NDVI; NDWI; micrometeorology; remote sensing; chamber; tundra;

    Sammanfattning : Arctic ecosystems play a key role in the terrestrial carbon (C) cycle, but spa-tially explicit data on the C exchange is scarce in these remote areas. The global warming is especially dominant in the Arctic, and these areas are vul-nerable to climate change. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Peatlands at a Threshold: Greenhouse Gas Dynamics in a Changing Climate

    Författare :Magnus Lund; Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; chamber; greenhouse gas; nitrous oxide; methane; carbon dioxide; carbon; bog; Peatland; mire; eddy covariance; nitrogen; phosphorus; fertilization;

    Sammanfattning : To be able to predict the strength of climate change and its consequences for mankind, it is of major importance to understand the contemporary greenhouse gas exchange of the terrestrial biosphere, as well as its response to changes in climate. To achieve such understanding both descriptive studies and manipulation experiments are required. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Greenhouse Gas Fluxes and Carbon Sequestration in Young Norway Spruce Stands : The Effects of Fertilization

    Författare :Charlotta Håkansson; Johan Bergh; Per-Ola Hedwall; Monika Strömgren; Anna M. Jensen; Tomas Lundmark; Tobias Rütting; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; carbon balance; young mixed forests; Picea abies L. Karst. ; Betula spp; chamber measurements; forest floor greenhouse gas fluxes; eddy-flux technology; above ground biomass; carbon dioxide; methane; nitrous oxide; kolbalans; ung blandskog; Picea abies L. Karst. ; Betula spp; kammarmätningar; markflöden av växthusgaser; eddy-fluxteknik; biomassa ovan jord; koldioxid; metan; lustgas; Forestry and Wood Technology; Skog och träteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The enormous challenge of climate change is discussed and debated today because of its major impact on life on Earth. The forests have an important role to play as the plants absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere through their photosynthesis and the growing tree retain carbon (C). LÄS MER
