    Sammanfattning : The 1760's and 1770's saw the emergence of numerous clubs, orders and societies in Stockholm. One of the most extraordinary expressions of this phenomenon was Carl Michael Bellman's Bacchi Orden, a series of semi-public dramatic entertainments chronicling the exploits of the members of Bacchi Orden, a fictional society enrolling several of Stockholm's most notorious drunkards and dedicated to the celebration of Bacchus.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation studies the royal ceremonies of the Vasa era in Sweden. The ceremonies connected with two Swedish monarchs – Erik XIV and Queen Kristina – is examined. From the sixteenth century I study Gustav Vasa’s funeral 1560, Erik XIV’s coronation 1561, Erik’s deposition 1568/69 and his brother Johan’s coronation 1569. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation treats Royal ceremonies and festivals in Sweden during the reigns of Charles XI (1672-97) and Charles XII (1697-1718). Staged by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger, court architect and superintendent, the ceremonies and festivals were splendid events where temporary architecture interplayed with paintings, music, poetry, fireworks and other lighting effects.
