  1. 16. Long-term outcome of children with cerebral palsy undergoing selective dorsal rhizotomy

    Författare :Annika Lundkvist; Människan i rörelse: hälsa och rehabilitering; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; selective dorsal rhizotomy; outcomes; long-term follow-up; Cerebral palsy; children; function; physiotherapy;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis was to describe long-term development of functional outcomes in children with cerebral palsy undergoing selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) combined with physiotherapy and to evaluate measures used in follow-up. Five years after SDR muscle tone was reduced, passive range of motion (PROM) increased in hip, knee and foot, gross motor function measured by the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) improved as well as functional performance and independence by the Pediatric Evaluation Disability Inventory. 2. 17. Knee flexion contracture and flexed knee gait in children with cerebral palsy

    Författare :Evelina Pantzar-Castilla; Jacques Riad; Per Wretenberg; Piotr Michno; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cerebral palsy; knee flexion contracture; 2- and 3-dimensional gait analysis; video assessment; gait; flexed knee gait; functional measures; orthopedic surgery;

    Sammanfattning : Cerebral palsy (CP) is considered the most common cause of physical disability in childhood. Most children will walk, but gait often deteriorates with growth and development. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Intensive training in group for children with Cerebral Palsy : Evaluation from different perspectives

    Författare :Pia Ödman; Birgitta Öberg; Lennart Nordenfelt; Birgit Rösblad; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Cerebral Palsy CP ; children; rehabilitation; Early Intervention Education ; Exercise therapy; Goals; Parents; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : There is a need of more evidence‐based knowledge of different treatment/training‐approaches for children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) to better describe the objectives of interventions, effects on functioning and fulfilment of health care needs. The general aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effectiveness of intensive training in groups (ITGs) with a habilitation approach and a conductive education approach. LÄS MER

  4. 19. MUSCLE STRENGTH, GROSS MOTOR FUNCTION AND GAIT PATTERN IN CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

    Författare :Meta Nyström Eek; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; child; muscle strength; reference values; cerebral palsy; motor skills; gait; resistance training;

    Sammanfattning : Aim The main purpose was to explore the relationship between muscle strength and walking ability in children with bilateral spastic cerebral palsy (CP), and to analyse whether muscle strength training can improve walking ability. Another aim was to establish normative values for muscle strength in terms of torque in typically developing children and adolescents, and in relation to sex, age and body weight. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Dietary antibodies and gluten related seromarkers in children and young adults with cerebral palsy

    Författare :Reidun Stenberg; Jens Schollin; Curt Tysk; Lotta Dahle; Claes Hallert; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cerebral palsy; children; celiac disease; glutensensitivity; brain; transglutaminase 2 and 6; malnutrition; casein; eggwhite laktoglobulin; Medicine; Medicin;

    Sammanfattning : Background & Aims: Cerebral palsy (CP), the most common physical disorder in children that affect motor function, is associated with a low weight and height. Celiac disease (CD), an autoimmune disorder precipitated by ingestion of gluten, is another common chronic disease in children that has a negative impact on growth. LÄS MER
