  1. 1. An integrated study of geological, magnetic and electromagnetic data for mineral exploration in the Jameson Land Basin, central East Greenland

    Författare :Anaïs Brethes; Thorkild Maack Rasmussen; Florian Wellmann; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; central East Greenland; Jameson Land Basin; base metal mineralization; geological structures; magnetic data; electromagnetic data; Prospekteringsgeofysik; Exploration Geophysics;

    Sammanfattning : The Jameson Land Basin, located in central East Greenland, initiated in Devonian time with the collapse of the over-thickened Caledonian Orogen. The basin developed during different phases of rifting from the late Paleozoic to the Mesozoic and has accumulated between 16-18 km of sediments. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Shallow water carbonate basin of the Zanzibar channel, Tanzania

    Författare :Yohanna W Shaghude; Birger Larsen; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; allmän och historisk geologi; General and Historical Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The shallow water carbonate basin of the Zanzibar channel, Tanzania, has been investigated. This study discusses and describes the sea bottom topographic features, sediment composition, major characteristics of sediment distribution, provenance of sediments, and the depositional settings of the sediments . 3. 3. The West Ny Friesland Terrane : An exhumed mid-crustal obliquely convergent orogen : by Patrik W. Nilsson

    Författare :Patrik W. Nilsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap; mineralogi; petrologi och tektonik; Mineral Chemistry; Petrology and Tectonics;

    Sammanfattning : Ny Friesland, in northeastern Svalbard, is the type-area for transpressive orogeny. The West Ny Friesland Terrane (WNT) is composed of a c. 12 km thick basal succession of amphibolite-grade schists and gneisses, previously thought to be the lower of a c. 20 km thick succession of concordant, volcano-sedimentary strata. 4. 4. Nitrate stable isotopes and major ions in snow and ice from Svalbard

    Författare :Carmen Paulina Vega Riquelme; V. A. Pohjola; R. Pettersson; E. Isaksson; C. E. Bøggild; Kumiko Goto-Azuma; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :nitrate stable isotopes; nitrate; NOx proxies; ice cores; percolation; ion relocation; Svalbard; stabila isotoper av nitrat; nitrat; indikator för kväveoxider; iskärnor; perkolation; joniska omlokalisering; Svalbard; Earth Science with specialization in Physical Geography; Geovetenskap med inriktning mot naturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing atmospheric reactive nitrogen (Nr), as consequence of human activities, has generated accumulation of nitrate (NO3-) in Arctic regions. The Arctic has fragile nitrogen limited ecosystems that can be altered by increases of dry or wet deposition of Nr. LÄS MER
