  1. 1. Register studies of cancer in the Southern Health Care Region in Sweden

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Cancer Epidemiology, Clinical Sciences, Lund University

    Författare :Bo Attner; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2012]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cancer risk; epidemiology; incidence; comorbidity; survival; partner; health care costs; population-based register study;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim was to study different aspect of health care use and health care costs on a population based level for persons with cancer and their partners, and from an individual level to explore the impact of comorbidities in incidence and survival. In the beginning of the study all persons in the Southern Health Care Region in Sweden diagnosed with colon, rectal, breast, prostate and lung cancer during the period 2000 to 2005 were identified via the Swedish Cancer Register. 2. 2. On the Epidemiology of Soft Tissue Sarcoma and Risk of Cancer following Knee prosthesis surgery. Important factors and methodological notes

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University: Faculty of Medicine

    Författare :Philippe Wagner; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Den aktuella avhandlingen härrör ur forskningsinsatser inom klinikerna för onkologi och ortopedi vid Universitetssjukhuset i Lund, och behandlar vad som ursprungligen verkade vara två skilda ämnen.Ena ämnet behandlar epidemiologin för mjukdelssarkom hos vuxna (MDS), en grupp av ofta dödliga sjukdomar av okänd orsak, som behandlas av både onkologer och ortopeder. 3. 3. Biomarkers of one-carbon metabolism in colorectal cancer risk

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå University

    Författare :Björn Gylling; Umeå universitet.; [2017]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Colorectal cancer; one-carbon metabolism; biomarkers; folate; epidemiology; Cancer Epidemiology; cancerepidemiologi;

    Sammanfattning : One-carbon metabolism, a network of enzymatic reactions involving the transfer of methyl groups, depends on B-vitamins as cofactors, folate as a methyl group carrier, and amino acids, betaine, and choline as methyl group donors. One-carbon metabolism influences many processes in cancer initiation and development such as DNA synthesis, genome stability, and histone and epigenetic methylation. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Metabolic Risk Factors and Molecular Subtypes of Colorectal Cancer

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå Universitet

    Författare :Robin Myte; Umeå universitet.; [2018]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Colorectal cancer; risk factors; metabolic syndrome; one-carbon metabolism; molecular subtypes; KRAS; BRAF; MSI; molecular pathological epidemiology; Cancer Epidemiology; cancerepidemiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a heterogeneous disease developing from distinct pathways, resulting in tumor subtypes with large differences in clinical and molecular characteristics. Molecular characteristics are increasingly being used clinically to guide therapy. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Risk and survival for colorectal cancer in northern Sweden sociodemographic factors and surveillance programs

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå universitet

    Författare :Olle Sjöström; Umeå universitet.; [2019]
