16. Towards comprehensive cellular atlases : High-throughput cell mapping by in situ sequencing
Sammanfattning : With recent technological advancements in single-cell biology, many aspects of individual cells are characterized with unprecedented resolution and details. Cell types in human and model organisms are redefined, and multiple organ-wide atlases are proposed to integrate different types of data to provide a comprehensive view of biological systems at cellular resolution. 17. Genetic and Molecular analysis of the Spinocerebellar ataxia type 7 (SCA7) disease gene
Sammanfattning : Spinocerebellar ataxia type 7 (SCA7) is a hereditary neurodegenerative disorder affecting the cerebellum, pons and retina. SCA7 patients present with gait ataxia and visual impairment as the main symptoms. LÄS MER
18. Functional aspects on the Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 5
Sammanfattning : The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infects resting B-cells. This leads to an EBV driven transformation of the resting B-cell into a cell with an activated B-cell phenotype that proliferates indefinitely in vitro. Epstein-Barr Nuclear antigen 5 (EBNA5) is one out of six EBV encoded protein involved in transformation of resting B-cell. LÄS MER
19. Structure and organization of genes for the predominant seminal plasma proteins semenogelin I, semenogelin II and beta-microseminoprotein
Sammanfattning : In man, the predominant proteins in the seminal plasma include semenogelin I, semenogelin II and b-microseminoprotein (MSP). Semenogelin I and II are both synthesized in the seminal vesicles and are the backbone of the gel formed upon semen coagulation. MSP is synthesized in the prostate, but its role has not yet been defined. LÄS MER
20. Stem cells : proliferation, differentiation, migration
Sammanfattning : A stem cell is demanding and requires precise conditions to carry out its unique tasks. This includes proliferation as an undifferentiated stem cell, differentiation to more mature cell types, migration through tissue to its final destination, and functional integration into the cellular network.
