16. Analyses of genomic and gene expression signatures
Sammanfattning : Biology has entered a challenging, information-intense period where computational experiments are complementing traditional experiments. A plethora of new techniques have allowed biological processes to be investigated on a global scale. LÄS MER
17. Perilipin expression in the islets of Langerhans and Surface expression in the baculovirus/insect cell system
Sammanfattning : Surface display in insect cells: Systems available for surface display that utilize bacterial phages are insufficient for displaying a number of eukaryotic proteins. By instead presenting proteins on the surface of eukaryotic cells or virus, some of these problems might be overcome. LÄS MER
18. Dust mite allergens : cloning, characterisation and T-cell responses
Sammanfattning : The number of allergens that have been cloned has increased dramatically during the last 10 years, and today, over 400 allergen sequences are available in the databases. In addition, at least 15 dust mite allergens have been characterised. LÄS MER
19. Characterisation of nanobodies directed against emerging viruses
Sammanfattning : The emergence of new viral pathogens, such as SARS-CoV-2, or re-emergence of known pathogens, like CHIKV, point out the need for further understanding of the biology behind viruses, as well as the urgent need for the development of therapeutic and diagnostic tools. Nanobodies, small antigen-binding fragments derived from camelid heavy-chain antibodies, have gained attention for their use in viral research due to their wide range of applications: from the study of protein-protein interactions, uncovering of new viral targets, to the generation of new diagnostic tools or therapeutics. 20. Human Forkhead Genes
Sammanfattning : The forkhead family constitutes a group of genes which encodes transcription factors that share a common DNA-binding domain, the forkhead domain. The first member to be discovered was the Drosophila melanogaster gene fork head. Members of this family have been found in a variety of species from bakers' yeast to man. LÄS MER
