    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of the thesis is to study work injuries insurance as an individual insurance scheme and as part of the Swedish welfare state. Here, the question of work injuries insurance is studied at two levels, partly the political discourse within which the laws that regulate compensation for work injuries have been drawn up and partly the administrative discourse whitin which this legislation is applied.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to study whether discrimination arose in connection with applications for naturalisation in Sweden between 1860 and 1920.The number of naturalisation applications during the period studied was 11,242, of which 1,774 (16%) were from Eastern Jews, here defined as Jewish subjects of the Russian Tsar, and from the states that emerged after the fall of the Russian Empire.     Sammanfattning : This thesis studies elementary school teachers’ language use in written assessments of students, and problematises the relation between teachers’ experiences of written assessment and the institutional and social expectations of professional language use.The study is based on three types of material: questionnaires answered by 39 teachers, interviews with 3 school principals and approximately 2,200 assessments of students, written according to three different templates.
